Not surrender, but… confusion mingled with a buried HURT was deep-set within the lines of her face. Of all the scars marring Lara’s skin, this hurt the most; the wound she hadn’t known existed… until now. They’d keep running into each other at this rate. Lara and Amelia. Her mother’s daughter. She desperately needed time to process this, but time was not on her side. Not with that gun pointed her way. “ Don’t you want to… Please, put down your weapon, Amelia, I just… want to talk. ” She wanted to say she was not the ENEMY here. But technically, she was. She couldn’t believe it. Her sister, working for Trinity. For the same organization that had killed her father. That had left him BLEEDING OUT for Lara to find. The irony was Shakespearean.
